Child Passenger Safety Law Information Updated
August 30, 2000 Senate Bill 1347, "Drivers Points-No Child Restraint", was approved by the NC General Assembly in June, 2000.
The revised NC Child Passenger Safety law directs the NC Division of Motor Vehicles to assess two driver's license points for a Child Passenger Safety Law violation, but no insurance points can be assessed.
This change will go into effect December 1, 2000.
