Non-Resident Violator Compact National Driver License Compact This American agreement comes into play when a driver receives and does not pay for an out of state ticket. If both states have signed the compact the driver may face suspension of his driver's license until s/he takes care of the ticket.
At the time of this writing and to the best of our knowledge the only states which are not members of the compact are:
Alaska, California, Montana, Oregon, Michigan, Wisconsin.
This does not mean that those states will not penalize their driver's for out of state tickets. If you have a license in one of those states or a Canadian Province, you may want to check with the Motor Vehicle Office which controls your license.
National Driver License Compact
This American agreement works to control drivers who have a lot of tickets. It attempts to implement the "One License" concept. Under this agreement the member states exchange information on drivers to prevent accumulation of multiple tickets in multiple states without enforcement action.At the time of this writing and to the best of our knowledge the only states which are not members of the compact are:
